Official takeover of Marcel Kamm

Radomir Ulemek, Founder + Chairman of the Board of Directors (07.08.1964 to 01.12.1986)
In 1964, Radomir Ulemek founded Montana Stahl AG in Würenlingen together with his sister Madame Ceka Massot. Ulemek had an eventful history behind him: he had fled from Yugoslavia to South Africa and finally found the security he was looking for for his investment in Switzerland.
For the employees of Montana Stahl AG, this founding period was an era that they look back on fondly. It was not only a period of hard work, but also a time of shared laughter and togetherness. The atmosphere in the company was characterised by a strong team spirit and a collective striving for success. Despite their eccentric nature, Ulemek and Massot had a good nose for investment. Together they laid the foundations for a successful company. Radomir Ulemek remained Chairman of the Board of Directors of Montana Stahl AG until December 1986.

Edwin Glattfelder, Managing Director (01.01.1965 to 31.12.1984)
His successor Edwin Glattfelder took up his post at the beginning of January 1965. During his time in office, he was known for keeping his employees at a distance. However, this did not mean that he was any less effective or committed. On the contrary, his correctness and noble demeanour were widely respected and contributed to a professional working atmosphere. If someone needed an extreme price, he quickly calculated it with a slide rule. Edwin Glattfelder was a man of figures and a classic businessman who successfully managed the company for a further 19 years.

Kurt Kaufmann, Managing Director (01.01.1985 to 31.12.2007)
With his engineering background, Kurt Kaufmann was a top salesman and joined Montana from the Winterthur-based company Geilinger. He took over the position of Managing Director in January 1985. His dynamic manner and his ability to make quick and often bold decisions helped the company to progress steadily. Kurt Kaufmann always looked to the future, was a remarkable entrepreneur and had his heart in the right place. After his retirement at the end of 2007, he continued to make his knowledge and network available with pleasure.

Marcel Kamm, Managing Director (01.01.2008 until today)
Marcel Kamm came to Montana as an engineer and business economist via various positions. His goal was always to take the company forward and be part of a success story. When he joined the company, he was responsible for the sales and marketing departments until he took over as Managing Director in 2008 and is still responsible for the overall success of the company today.

His most important milestones were when Montana had to fit into the structure of large corporations; at the end of 1999 at Corus and in 2007 at Tata Steel Europe. At the company, he likes the appreciative management and family-like corporate culture. Company anniversaries and long-serving employees move him just as much as winning major projects against international competition.

When asked about the future of Montana, Marcel Kamm is optimistic and confident. He attributes this optimism primarily to the company's innovative strength and its ability to adapt to new challenges and changes. In his view, it is ultimately the people who make a company successful and he emphasises how valuable the employees are for the continued existence and growth of the company.

Overall, Marcel Kamm conveys the image of a forward-looking company that relies on a strong culture of innovation and the skills of its workforce in order to continue to be successful.
