Composite slabs combine concrete and steel and thus the advantages of both building materials: they are formwork, reinforcement, fire protection and sound insulation all in one. The HOLORIB®/SUPERHOLORIB® composite floor has been successfully represented on the market for decades. This form of metal ceiling is generally approved by the building authorities for predominantly static and dynamic loads and is fire-resistant without additional measures. It is characterised by its lightness and load-bearing capacity, is considerably slimmer than a solid concrete ceiling and is therefore also much more economical. Composite ceilings are preferably used in the construction of multi-storey car parks, for renovations and for building in existing structures.
Depending on the corrosion protection requirements, different surface finishes are possible. The use of coloured surface finishes also makes it possible to realise visual and decorative design options for the ceiling soffit. A free calculation software enables simple dimensioning and serves as a verifiable static proof.
